From Principal's Desk

In education system, a person generally divides curriculum into two parts: one Academic curriculum and the other is co-curricular activities such as dance, music, art, and sports. But if we try to go little deeper, then one may find no basis or argument for dividing the curriculum into two. There is very beautiful debate around the world which says that our education system is hierarchical and focuses on the development of only one part of brain, the academics work on only one part of brain. The important question raised is that when children are being taught math, science, etc. every day of the week then why music, dance and art, are not essential? And if we aim to work on only one part of brain then that’s not education rather its pure indoctrination, or in simple words preparing our children as finished products for corporate world. So by curriculum here we mean giving equal importance to every activity, our curriculum would be including academics, music, dance, art, yoga, meditation, etc. then only we would be moving towards a complete form of education. Knowing the challenges with the mind set-up of people in society we would move slowly.
