Our Curriculum

We aim to put children experiences, their voice and their active participation at the center of our curriculum. Our teachers bring the National Curriculum alive by making links between the individual subjects and topics link them with their life in society. The education is intended to enable the optimal development of a child's personality and competencies in line with his/her individual needs and requirements.

Based on the inquisitiveness of them, and his/her interests, learning should support the Self-educational process of the child, particularly by supporting his/her own senses of self-organization and responsibility. In order to achieve this, Pedagogy are decided mutually by the facilitator and the child, and adapted in accordance with the child's individual learning Pace, nature and requirements. This necessitates a learning environment with a didactic structure, one characterized by mutual trust and capable of enabling independent as well as cooperative learning

To achieve these objectives, the curriculum at Manthan Valley follows the principles of integrated education.

Integrated education is one that enables students:

  • To weave the development of their physical self with the development of their mind, the emotional, social and inner self.
  • To make connections between different forms of knowledge, self-development and creative expressions.

Formal and informal opportunities are provided for students to appreciate the relationships between inside and outside the classroom learning experiences. Linkages are made between the acquisition of languages and arts, science and reasoning, mathematics and experimentation, creative expressions and communication skills. Students weave in and out of academic classes and non-academic classes that include performing arts, the visual arts, the fine arts and sports. With support from their teachers, students identify pieces of the jigsaw puzzles that constitute knowledge and personal development.

The outcome is nurturing of the “whole person” who seeks to learn, to think critically, to relate, to create and to choose with maturity and concern for others. In other words, the development of the individual child who is in tune with her own thinking and creative self as she is with the development of the world around her.
